M1 Mobile Plan Review - Which SIM- ONLY plan is best in Singapore 2022?

My 12-month M1 mobile SIM-only plan of S$20 for 40GB of data ended in February 2022.

Now I have to pay S$25 for 30 GB of data without any contract promotion.

Which mobile plan is best in Singapore 2022?

Here are 3 alternatives:

1. Re-contract with M1 Mobile

2. Sign up for a new contract with StarHub SIM-only mobile plan

3. Sign up for a new contract with Singtel SIM-only mobile plan

#1. Re-contract with M1 Mobile

If I re-contract with M1, this is what I pay and get...

S$20 for 50GB for 12 months.

However, for new subscribers, it's S$18 for 88GB for the first 6 months followed by 50GB 4G!

So much for being a loyal customer.

Update 30 Mar 2022: M1 promo... S$20 for 100GB... 12 months no contract... https://www.m1.com.sg/promotions/simo-promotions

#2. Sign up for a new contract with StarHub SIM-only Mobile plan

If I sign up for a new contract with StarHub, this is the best SIM-only mobile plan with a similar budget.

S$20 for 80GB 4G for 12 months.

OR...

S$28 for 70 GB 5G for 12 months with 12-month Disney+ (S$12/m)

My current Disney Plus contract is ending in May 2022.
Can I wait till then to sign up for Starhub?

PLUS... 1 month for free GeForce Now.

I just learned what GeForce Now is...
  • It is an Online gaming server
  • No need to use a gaming PC anymore
  • Perfect when GPU is facing a shortage
  • Can play even on a Chrome laptop
  • Just pay for the game and play it online
  • Play the games at high resolution and high frame rate
  • Some games are free like Fortnite
  • Not every game is available like Minecraft
  • The subscription fee is S$20 per month
  • In Singapore, it is partnered with StarHub
Interesting! I might consider this.

#3. Sign up for a new contract with Singtel SIM-only mobile plan

If I sign up for a new contract with Singtel, this is the best SIM-only mobile plan with a similar budget.

S$30 for 60GB 4G for 12 months.

OR...
SIM Only Plus 45 with 88GB 5G data for $30 for the first 6 months (70GB thereafter, $45 after 6 months)
• SIM Only Plus 55 with 108GB 5G data for $45 for the first 6 months (90GB thereafter, $55 after 12 months)

Not attractive at all.

Other Options?

Are there other options I can sign up with?

TPG - S$10 for 100GB 4G for 30 days no contract

50GB at S$5 for the first 3 months followed by S$8 for 50GB 4G.

Macbook Air M1 Case

I bought a transparent case for my MacBook Air M1 . It came with a free screen protector, a keyboard cover, and some rubber plugs to cover the ports. Check it out! https://youtu.be/d-wALSd3nn8 I didn't expect the rubber plugs. It was a nice surprise. The case fits snuggly, with access to all the ports. The keyboard cover is almost invisible to the eye. I have no intention to use the screen protector. Why? I need to see the true color of the display for my YouTube videos. ~ Adrian Lee  @Adrian Video Image  The video was recorded on iPhone 12 Pro Max with Filmic Pro app in 4K 60fps and edited with Capcut.

Sony Vegas Pro 8 Tutorial - Multicamera Editing

Sony Vegas Pro 8 makes it easier to edit videos from different cameras right from the timeline. You can capture and edit video for a single scene from 2 or more cameras or for a single scene shot a few times with one camera. Here is a tutorial of a Multicamera Edit of a drama I shot. The drama was acted out four times to the public and being a non-profit organization, the client have budget only for one videographer. For each of the 4 acts, the camcorder (Sony HDR-FX7 High Definition Camcorder) was placed at 4 different positions and shot in various angles. Multicamera edit is accomplished in only 8 steps with the Sony Vegas Pro 8. Step #1: Capture Multicamera Video Clips Use the normal Sony Vegas Video Capture function to capture recordings from each camera. Give each capture filename a unique name. Enable scene detection before capturing so that each segment is captured as a separate clip. Step #2 : Layout Video Clips on Timeline Drag and drop video clips over each other on the...
