How I Edited My Yololiv Instream Review Video in Less Than 45 Minutes

I'm glad that I was able to complete the edit of chapter 8 of my Yololiv Instream review video in 45 minutes.

This is a significant improvement from the previous chapter, which took me 2 hours to edit.

I was able to achieve this by learning that I don't need to use AI to make my spoken words perfect. As long as viewers can understand what I'm saying, that's all that matters.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try to complete multiple chapters in a single day. I'm also going to try to just voice over my videos spontaneously without writing down the script.

I think this will help me to be more natural and engaging.

What are your thoughts on my editing process?

I'm excited to see what I can accomplish tomorrow!

Thanks to Bard for improving my journal.

Ps:

Today, I embarked on the task of utilizing AI tools, including ChatGPT, BARD, and Bing, to assist me in the process of video production. My intention was to leverage the capabilities of these tools to enhance the storytelling aspect of my project, hoping for improved efficiency and a polished final result.

Initially, I had high expectations for the AI script generation. I believed that it would elevate the quality of my story and expedite my workflow, allowing me to accomplish more within a shorter span of time. However, as the event unfolded, I encountered some significant challenges that impacted my overall experience.

The most time-consuming aspect was the process of transferring my outline into the AI tools. I had to painstakingly input each line of my outline manually, and then copy and paste the AI-generated output back into my video project. This method of interaction proved to be laborious and significantly slowed down my work.

Comparing the time taken, it became apparent that relying on AI for script creation extended the completion time. With the involvement of AI, it took approximately two hours to finalize the script. In contrast, when working without AI, I could complete the same task in just 45 minutes. This notable disparity highlighted the trade-off between the benefits of AI-generated content and the increased time investment required.

As I reflect on this experience, I've come to the realization that, in future endeavors, I may opt to streamline my workflow by forgoing the use of AI for script modification. Instead, I plan to rely on my own creative instincts and perform voice-over work "off the cuff," allowing for a more efficient process.

Nevertheless, it's important to acknowledge the valuable contributions that AI made in terms of enhancing the storytelling aspect of my project. The AI tools provided valuable insights and suggestions that assisted me in shaping the narrative, ultimately enriching the overall quality of the video production.

In conclusion, my venture into utilizing AI tools for video production has been a learning experience. While the AI-generated script showcased its strengths, the time-consuming nature of the process and its impact on my workflow have led me to reconsider its role in future projects. As I move forward, I will strive to strike a balance between leveraging AI's potential and optimizing my creative workflow to achieve faster results without compromising quality.

Macbook Air M1 Case

I bought a transparent case for my MacBook Air M1 . It came with a free screen protector, a keyboard cover, and some rubber plugs to cover the ports. Check it out! https://youtu.be/d-wALSd3nn8 I didn't expect the rubber plugs. It was a nice surprise. The case fits snuggly, with access to all the ports. The keyboard cover is almost invisible to the eye. I have no intention to use the screen protector. Why? I need to see the true color of the display for my YouTube videos. ~ Adrian Lee  @Adrian Video Image  The video was recorded on iPhone 12 Pro Max with Filmic Pro app in 4K 60fps and edited with Capcut.

Sony Vegas Pro 8 Tutorial - Multicamera Editing

Sony Vegas Pro 8 makes it easier to edit videos from different cameras right from the timeline. You can capture and edit video for a single scene from 2 or more cameras or for a single scene shot a few times with one camera. Here is a tutorial of a Multicamera Edit of a drama I shot. The drama was acted out four times to the public and being a non-profit organization, the client have budget only for one videographer. For each of the 4 acts, the camcorder (Sony HDR-FX7 High Definition Camcorder) was placed at 4 different positions and shot in various angles. Multicamera edit is accomplished in only 8 steps with the Sony Vegas Pro 8. Step #1: Capture Multicamera Video Clips Use the normal Sony Vegas Video Capture function to capture recordings from each camera. Give each capture filename a unique name. Enable scene detection before capturing so that each segment is captured as a separate clip. Step #2 : Layout Video Clips on Timeline Drag and drop video clips over each other on the...
