Wifey prepared Tang Yuan soup in the morning.
The purple one is tang yuan with sweet potato filling. The two big ones are tang yuan with red bean filling. The three small yellow ones are just lotus seeds.
Tang yuan (汤圆; literally: ‘soup ball’) is a Chinese dessert made from glutinous rice flour mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and then either cooked and served in boiling water, or sweet syrup. Tangyuan can be either small or large, and filled or unfilled.
