From Idea to Viral: My "G.E.T." Checklist for Conquering Video Content

Ever felt the pressure to pump out fresh video content consistently? You're not alone. Keeping audiences engaged with a steady stream of short, bite-sized videos can feel like a full-time job. But what if I told you there was a way to generate, edit, and target your content like a pro, all while saving precious time and maximizing engagement? Introducing my "G.E.T." checklist, the secret weapon for churning out 3 viral-worthy videos a week, even if you're a one-person content machine.

G.E.T. in Action:

G - Generate Valuable and Shareable Ideas:

  • Analyze the Masters: Every week, dive into the popular video trenches of Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. See what's trending, dissect the most-watched videos, and take inspiration for your own content. Think of it as reverse-engineering virality.
  • Respond and React: Listen to your audience. Read comments, respond thoughtfully, and turn those interactions into video gold. A well-placed question answered in a video can spark curiosity and engagement.
  • Mine the Community: Facebook groups and pages dedicated to your product or niche are treasure troves of ideas. See what people are talking about, their pain points, and their questions. Craft videos that address them directly.
  • Tap the Power of AI: Use AI-powered tools to prompt ideas, generate video scripts, and even write product reviews. It's like having a tireless brainstorming buddy on your side.
    • "Based on these topics I have already covered, what are some related [product name] topics that people might want to watch: [topic 1, topic 2, topic 3, etc.,...]"
    • "Derive 10 how-to questions that will lead to [product name] as the solution."
    • "Write a product review of [product name] based on user experience and research. Include an in-depth analysis of the product's features, benefits, and drawbacks.  Ensure that the information is the most relevant, accurate, and up-to-date. Also, Compare the product to similar products on the market. Insert my personal opinion and recommendation."

E - Edit Eye-Catching and Engaging Content:

  • Hook 'em from the Start: Craft an opening title that grabs attention like a headline writer on caffeine. Use emojis, relevant keywords, and a touch of mystery to pique viewers' curiosity.
  • Problem, Solution, Success: Clearly identify a problem your audience faces, then showcase your product as the hero. Use a step-by-step approach, explaining features with clear "so that" statements linking them to benefits.
  • Call to Action: Don't leave viewers hanging. End with a strong call to action, whether it's subscribing, visiting your website, or leaving a comment.

T -  Target Specific and Interested Viewers:

  • Hashtag Hustle: Research popular hashtags related to your content and target audience. Use AI tools to generate hashtag lists, and don't forget location-specific and brand-relevant tags for extra reach.
    • AI prompt: "Write a row of popular hashtags for this: [insert content or title here]"
  • Emoji Power: A strategically placed emoji can add personality and draw attention to your caption's opening hook. Ask AI to suggest the perfect emoji to make your text pop.
    • AI prompt: "Add emoji to this: [insert line]"

Pro Tips:

  • Personalize it: Inject your unique voice and perspective into your videos. Authenticity resonates with viewers.
  • Experiment and iterate: Don't be afraid to try new things and analyze what works. Track your video performance and adapt your strategy based on data.
  • Consistency is key: Commit to a regular upload schedule and stick to it. Your audience will come to expect and appreciate your content.

With my "G.E.T." checklist as your guide, you'll be churning out viral-worthy videos in no time. So grab your camera, unleash your creativity, and get ready to conquer the video content game!

Macbook Air M1 Case

I bought a transparent case for my MacBook Air M1 . It came with a free screen protector, a keyboard cover, and some rubber plugs to cover the ports. Check it out! https://youtu.be/d-wALSd3nn8 I didn't expect the rubber plugs. It was a nice surprise. The case fits snuggly, with access to all the ports. The keyboard cover is almost invisible to the eye. I have no intention to use the screen protector. Why? I need to see the true color of the display for my YouTube videos. ~ Adrian Lee  @Adrian Video Image  The video was recorded on iPhone 12 Pro Max with Filmic Pro app in 4K 60fps and edited with Capcut.

Sony Vegas Pro 8 Tutorial - Multicamera Editing

Sony Vegas Pro 8 makes it easier to edit videos from different cameras right from the timeline. You can capture and edit video for a single scene from 2 or more cameras or for a single scene shot a few times with one camera. Here is a tutorial of a Multicamera Edit of a drama I shot. The drama was acted out four times to the public and being a non-profit organization, the client have budget only for one videographer. For each of the 4 acts, the camcorder (Sony HDR-FX7 High Definition Camcorder) was placed at 4 different positions and shot in various angles. Multicamera edit is accomplished in only 8 steps with the Sony Vegas Pro 8. Step #1: Capture Multicamera Video Clips Use the normal Sony Vegas Video Capture function to capture recordings from each camera. Give each capture filename a unique name. Enable scene detection before capturing so that each segment is captured as a separate clip. Step #2 : Layout Video Clips on Timeline Drag and drop video clips over each other on the...
