Lenovo Yoga 520 Running Slow – Solved

UPDATE: The issue is not solved. Investigation in progress.

Why is my Lenovo Yoga 520 getting so slow?

Slow to Startup. Slow to respond. Slow to everything!

It’s been about over a year since its unboxing in November 2017.

The 1TB hard disk drive is not very fragmented, just 5%.

There are no background programs running, as far as I can check.

Changing the settings for the Performance paging file didn’t work.

Then I did this using CCleaner.

  1. Go to Tools > Startup.
  2. Delete unnecessary programs in the Windows tab.
  3. Delete everything in the Scheduled Tasks tab.
  4. Delete everything in the Context Menu tab, accept systems programs that did not allow itself to be deleted.
  5. Restart the Lenovo Yoga 520.

Yay! I can play Fortnite smoothly again.

UPDATE: The issue is not solved. Investigation in progress.
