Squirting Live Seafood in Zhuhai China

17 March 2010, 7.00pm: Live Seafood market in Zhuhai China

The real adventure begins here.
The next destination was deeper into Zhuhai.
The concierge of Zhuhai's Guotai Hotel were upfront with advice.
Bargain with taxi drivers.
Look out for fake change.
Bargain with the live seafood hawkers.
Beware pickpockets!

We took the plunge.
The concierge hailed a taxi and bargained on our behalf.
RMB20 to RMB15. The taxi driver disagreed and proposed meter reading.
We agreed to meter reading and paid RMB16 only in the end.

From a tourist map we hunted earlier, we picked a recommendation.
We were going to Huan Zai Hai Xian Jie, a popular live seafood street.
It was a 10-minute ride from Guotai Hotel.

We got off the taxi and restaurant staff rushed to usher us in.
We realized there were more than one restaurant on the street.

I was amazed when they brought us to where we choose our seafood.

Vendors lined up in a long row.
The line was so long you could not see the other end.
As you walk pass a store the vendor will start selling their wares.
They will say their seafood is the freshest or cheapest.
The will rub their hands over the living creatures in square baskets.
The seashells, clams and sea slugs will squirt water in defense.
There were even creatures I have never seen before in my life.
I ordered one strange creature that looked creepy crawly.
I even handled the lively creepy crawlies with my bare hands.

The restaurant staff helped us bargain.
The live seafood vendors were not part of the restaurants.
The bargaining and purchasing were so quick we hardly kept count.
All we know is the price was cheap!

The restaurant will only cook our live creatures.
We had the choice to go spicy or non-spicy.

Hey! I loved crunching on my delicious deep fried creepy crawly creatures!

Spent about RMB400 on seafood.
Spent RMB110 on restaurant cooking.

If you are in Zhuhai, you must experience their live seafood market.

We were offered a ride back by a man with a van, not a taxi.
Took a risk, bargained, and went back to Guotai Hotel safely.

This should be the end of our trip.

Macbook Air M1 Case

I bought a transparent case for my MacBook Air M1 . It came with a free screen protector, a keyboard cover, and some rubber plugs to cover the ports. Check it out! https://youtu.be/d-wALSd3nn8 I didn't expect the rubber plugs. It was a nice surprise. The case fits snuggly, with access to all the ports. The keyboard cover is almost invisible to the eye. I have no intention to use the screen protector. Why? I need to see the true color of the display for my YouTube videos. ~ Adrian Lee  @Adrian Video Image  The video was recorded on iPhone 12 Pro Max with Filmic Pro app in 4K 60fps and edited with Capcut.

Sony Vegas Pro 8 Tutorial - Multicamera Editing

Sony Vegas Pro 8 makes it easier to edit videos from different cameras right from the timeline. You can capture and edit video for a single scene from 2 or more cameras or for a single scene shot a few times with one camera. Here is a tutorial of a Multicamera Edit of a drama I shot. The drama was acted out four times to the public and being a non-profit organization, the client have budget only for one videographer. For each of the 4 acts, the camcorder (Sony HDR-FX7 High Definition Camcorder) was placed at 4 different positions and shot in various angles. Multicamera edit is accomplished in only 8 steps with the Sony Vegas Pro 8. Step #1: Capture Multicamera Video Clips Use the normal Sony Vegas Video Capture function to capture recordings from each camera. Give each capture filename a unique name. Enable scene detection before capturing so that each segment is captured as a separate clip. Step #2 : Layout Video Clips on Timeline Drag and drop video clips over each other on the...
