In this post, I rant and rave about the Lenovo Active Pen as it is being tested on the Yoga 520. With pinpoint accuracy and 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity, the Pen is great for the Artist. However, does it perform well when used an alternative to the mouse and the trackpad? There are 5 things I don’t like about the Lenovo Active Pen. 1. It’s bigger and heavier than a real pen 2. It requires a hard-to-find AAAA battery to work 3. The USB pen holder is simply not practical 4. I cannot drag and drop events in Google Calendar 5. I cannot highlight text like a mouse cursor does Well, to be fair, it’s a tool designed for the professional graphic designer. Let me know your thoughts and please tell me if the Pen is good for you. Setting up the essential element of any business website, email. Between the last journal and this one, I got the website up and running. It is now time to make the email work, so that visitors can contact me. Logging in to the Hostinger account cPanel, we see a section for Emails. Under this section, are choices to set up Email Accounts, Webmail, Email Forwarders, Edit MX Record, Auto Responders, Mail Service Control, and Catch-all Emails. “G Suite” is just an invitation to the alternative paid email service provided by Google. I was about to give up reviewing the Lenovo Yoga 520 until I found out why this laptop cannot playback YouTube videos smoothly. I checked the internet speed, raised the power plan to high performance and played the same video on my iPhone. Then I noticed how it was hunting and switching between the two WiFi points at home. After turning off the auto connection, everything is back to normal. YouTube videos played smoothly. So, the testing of my Lenovo Yoga 520 continues.
