Content Monetization Strategy: How to Integrate E-commerce into Video Tutorials Without Losing Followers

Here's some honest transparency about being a creative solopreneur.

My e-commerce videos make money, but the truth is, my follower count takes a hit almost every time I post one.

People are here for the tutorials, not straight-up ads. It's a classic dilemma.

So, I'm running an experiment.

What if the product isn't the ad, but simply a key part of the tutorial itself?

I just created a new video showing 5 steps to film a cooking video with a smartphone.

In it, I integrate a smart scale as one of the "sleek-looking tools" that enhances the shot.

I also mixed in some of my usual visual effects and a clip generated with VEO 3 AI.

The goal is to provide full value with the tutorial while showcasing a product in a natural, useful context.

I genuinely don't know if this format is the answer. Does the product integration feel smooth, or does it still come across as a hard sell?

I’d be grateful for your professional opinion. Take a look at the video and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Does this approach work for you?
