This week, I experimented with AI video tools. Here are the key takeaways.
AI Video Experiments
I tested Google's Veo 3 AI video generator on a few projects and learned a lot about writing effective prompts.
Making a Product Talk: I made a TikTok Shop product sell itself. The key was a very specific prompt. The AI added a mouth and eyes to the product and made it speak on its own. See the Prompt here... https://youtube.com/shorts/JXx08ysKt9U
Prompting for Motion: I tried to create a video of a fan blowing objects out of a room. The AI interpreted "blow" as "explode." This taught me to use simple, direct verbs like "slide" for better results. See the Prompt here... https://youtube.com/shorts/4oepQyHg124
Combining AI Clips: I created a video of a Cybertruck battling a T-Rex. The AI didn't get it perfect, so I edited three different AI-generated clips together in CapCut. This shows that AI is a powerful tool, but it still needs human creativity to guide it. See the Prompt here... https://youtube.com/shorts/WxppYUUctyE?si=03uxnVDxp_1JEcvF
Tools & Tips for Creators
1. How to Create a 3-in-1 Video Layout in CapCut
Here’s a quick guide to placing three videos in one frame on your phone:
Step 1: Start a new project and add your main video.
Step 2: Tap Overlay to add your second video. Resize and move it.
Step 3: Repeat the Overlay step for your third video.
Bonus: Use Transform to crop each video.

2. A Useful Gadget: The Rear Selfie Monitor
I tested a Rear Selfie Monitor, which is a small second screen for your phone. It lets you use your high-quality back camera for vlogs or selfies while still seeing the shot. It's a simple way to improve video quality. Check it out here... https://youtube.com/shorts/UaaorGU0_RM?si=xWdrGTg8Zzoq_03w
