How to Convert Vertical Video to Horizontal Video Using CapCut in 6 Easy Steps

Hello and welcome to this video tutorial on how to convert a vertical video to horizontal video using CapCut, a free, all-in-one video editing tool. CapCut is available on both app and online versions, and you can use it to create stunning and high-quality videos for various purposes. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the app version of CapCut to transform your vertical video into a horizontal one in just a few steps.

Step 1: Open the CapCut app on your phone and tap on the plus icon to create a new project. You can either choose a video from your gallery or record a new one with the camera. For this tutorial, I will select a vertical video from my gallery.

Step 2: After importing the video, you will see it on the timeline at the bottom of the screen. You can trim, split, or merge the video as you like by using the tools on the right side of the screen. You can also adjust the speed, volume, or rotation of the video by tapping on the clip and selecting the options from the menu.

Step 3: To convert the vertical video to horizontal, you need to change the aspect ratio of the project. To do that, tap on the canvas icon at the top right corner of the screen and select 16:9 from the list of ratios. This will make your video fit into a horizontal frame.

Step 4: You will notice that there are black bars on both sides of your video, which may not look very appealing. To fix that, you can either zoom in your video to fill the frame or add a background image or color to cover the black bars. To zoom in your video, tap on the clip and drag the corners of the frame until you are satisfied with the result. To add a background image or color, tap on the background icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and choose from the options available. You can also adjust the opacity and blur of the background by using the sliders.

Step 5: Once you are happy with your horizontal video, you can add some finishing touches by applying filters, effects, stickers, texts, music, or sound effects from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. You can also use some of CapCut’s special features like auto captions, text-to-speech, motion tracking, and background remover to enhance your video.

Step 6: Finally, you can export your horizontal video by tapping on the export icon at the top right corner of the screen. You can choose the resolution, frame rate, and quality of your video according to your preference. You can also share your video directly to TikTok and other platforms by tapping on the share icon.

And that’s it! You have successfully converted a vertical video to horizontal video using CapCut. I hope you found this tutorial helpful and easy to follow. Macbook Air M1 Case

I bought a transparent case for my MacBook Air M1 . It came with a free screen protector, a keyboard cover, and some rubber plugs to cover the ports. Check it out! https://youtu.be/d-wALSd3nn8 I didn't expect the rubber plugs. It was a nice surprise. The case fits snuggly, with access to all the ports. The keyboard cover is almost invisible to the eye. I have no intention to use the screen protector. Why? I need to see the true color of the display for my YouTube videos. ~ Adrian Lee  @Adrian Video Image  The video was recorded on iPhone 12 Pro Max with Filmic Pro app in 4K 60fps and edited with Capcut.
