Whether you want to build the shot practically using your own phone footage or generate it digitally from scratch, here is how to lock in the effect.

Method 1: The Practical CapCut Masking Workflow

Low-Angle Walking Shot: Place your phone near the ground and film yourself taking an exaggerated, high step while tilting the lens slightly upward.
Layering & Cutout: Import a clean landscape shot on Track 1. Add your walking clip on an Overlay track directly beneath it, then tap Remove BG > Auto Removal.
Foreground Split Mask: Duplicate Track 1, move it down to a top overlay layer, and apply a Linear Mask right along the edge of the mountain or bus so your foot steps cleanly behind it.
