AI Video Generator Comparison 2026: Testing Bing Video Creator vs Google Veo 3.1, CapCut Seedance 2.0 & More for Realistic Singapore Hawker Food Videos
I tested the same AI video prompt across five different tools… and what I discovered completely changed how I think about AI video generation.
The prompt sounded simple enough:
A dynamic Singapore street food hawker centre scene at night. Bustling crowd, sizzling wok with char kway teow, steam rising, vibrant neon signs, people eating at tables, cinematic food lighting, smooth camera pan from close-up food to wide shot of busy center, 4K realistic details, energetic atmosphere.
Same prompt. No iteration. First output only.
But the results? Completely different.
The Test: Same Prompt, Five AI Generators
I ran this prompt across:
- CapCut Seedance 2.0
- DOLA AI Seedance 2.0
- Google VEO 3.1
- Bing Video Creator (SORA)
- META VIBES
And I judged them based on one thing:
Does it feel like a real Singapore hawker centre?
What Most AI Got Wrong
Let’s start with the biggest issue.
My prompt included:
“vibrant neon signs”
Sounds cinematic, right?
But if you’ve actually been to a Singapore hawker centre, you know that’s not accurate. The lighting is usually fluorescent, practical, sometimes even a bit harsh—but real.
Here’s where most AI tools failed.
They followed the prompt too literally.
CapCut Seedance 2.0
The char kway teow didn’t look appetising. It lacked that oily, smoky realism.
And when the camera pulled back? Neon signs everywhere. It looked more like a night market in a movie than a real hawker centre.
DOLA AI Seedance 2.0
Better close-up. I actually liked the egg detail—the yolk breaking, the noodles before they turn brown.
But again, once it zoomed out… neon lights took over. Visually interesting, but culturally off.
When AI Tries Too Hard
Then there’s the opposite problem.
Google Veo 3.1
This one didn’t just follow the prompt—it exaggerated everything.
The wok was on fire.
The crowd felt unnaturally dense.
Smoke appeared where it didn’t make sense.
Some stalls even had multiple signboards stacked on top of each other.
It felt like the AI was trying to create a blockbuster scene… instead of a real place.
The result? It broke immersion completely.
Still Early Days
Meta Vibes
This one feels like it’s still learning.
The output wasn’t convincing enough yet—especially for a complex, real-world scene like a hawker centre. It’s not there yet, but that’s expected at this stage.
The One That Got It Right
This was the only one that made me stop and look twice.
The char kway teow looked right—dark, oily, properly cooked.
The ingredients made sense.
The environment looked like an actual hawker centre.
And here’s the interesting part…
It didn’t really follow my prompt.
There were no exaggerated neon lights.
It chose realism over instructions.
The Big Insight
This test taught me something important:
The best AI video generator is not the one that follows your prompt.
It’s the one that understands reality.
Because in real-world content—especially lifestyle, food, and travel—accuracy matters more than cinematic exaggeration.
If your AI doesn’t understand context, your video will always feel “off.”
What This Means for Creators
If you’re using AI video tools, here’s the shift you need to make:
Don’t just write more detailed prompts.
Write better aligned prompts.
Or even better—use tools that can correct your prompts when they conflict with reality.
Also, keep in mind: This was a first-generation test. No iterations, no refinements.
Some tools may perform much better with:
- clearer constraints
- more specific lighting descriptions
- or multiple prompt passes
But that’s a different test.
Final Thought
I didn’t expect this.
I thought the most advanced tool would win.
Instead, the most grounded one did.
And that’s a big difference.
