The New Apple "iPad" - the Amazon Kindle Killer?

Just my opinion. The new Apple iPad is lame!

The new Apple iPad is just a bigger but crippled version of the iPhone.

It cannot even be compared with a laptop.

So far away from a netbook.

Where's the camera? Where's the webcam?

At only up to 64GB memory, video editing is not recommended.

Whatever the iPad can do, the iPhone can do even better.

I would still go for the iPhone.

I am not going to carry around the iPad just to shuffle photos and watch YouTube videos.

If I want the bigger screen, I would just get the macbook or even a PC netbook.

I am sure Steve Jobs will come up with a better version of iPad. One with built in camera and higher memory space for video editing. I will buy that immediately.

For now, the new Apple iPad is just a pumped up digital photo frame or just serious Amazon Kindle Killer.

Just my opinion.

    Not even close to a kindle killer, IMO. The kindle was made to read books, and does a damn good job at it. Reading books on this thing, without an OLED, AMOLED, or (somehow) eInk display would put a serious strain on the eyes. It's literally reading a really long full screen Microsoft Word doc for hours. On a purely physical level, the human eye can read the kindle for as long as possible, while the iPad would literally hurt you after too long.

    But i totally agree on everything else. Just a big iphone without the phone. Making it basically a really big ipod touch. I like the way you put it, "pumped up digital photo frame."

Sony Vegas Pro 8 makes it easier to edit videos from different cameras right from the timeline. You can capture and edit video for a single scene from 2 or more cameras or for a single scene shot a few times with one camera. Here is a tutorial of a Multicamera Edit of a drama I shot. The drama was acted out four times to the public and being a non-profit organization, the client have budget only for one videographer. For each of the 4 acts, the camcorder (Sony HDR-FX7 High Definition Camcorder) was placed at 4 different positions and shot in various angles.
